CNC Machining Process Flow

CNC Machining Process Flow

2024-04-16

1.Design and drawing: the use of computer aided design (CAD) software to design parts, and draw parts drawings. In CAD software, the size, shape and machining requirements of parts can be determined.

2.Process planning: according to the requirements of parts drawings, develop a reasonable processing plan. This includes selecting the appropriate processing equipment, tools, fixtures, etc., while determining the processing parameters and processing routes. This step needs to be adjusted and optimized repeatedly according to the actual situation.

3.Programming: Use CNC programming software to program according to the results of process planning. Programming personnel need to write the correct processing program according to the part drawings and processing requirements, and ensure the correctness and feasibility of the program.

4.Program verification: Before formal processing, it is necessary to verify the program written. This can be achieved through simulation software or test cutting on a test cutting bed to check the correctness and feasibility of the program, and to find and correct errors in time.

5.Machine tool setting and workpiece clamping: before the start of processing, it is necessary to set the CNC machine properly, including clamping the workpiece, installing the appropriate cutting tools, choosing the appropriate cutting speed and feed speed, and adjusting the coordinate system of the machine tool and the position of the workbench. At the same time, the workpiece should be cleaned before clamping the surface, can not stick to oil, iron filings and dust, and use the appropriate fixture to ensure that the position and posture of the workpiece is correct.

6.Formal processing: Input the verified program into the CNC machine tool and begin formal processing. According to the machining program, the CNC machine will automatically carry out the cutting operation and process the workpiece according to the predetermined path and parameters.

7.Quality testing: after the processing is completed, the quality of the workpiece is tested to ensure that it meets the processing requirements.

Please note that the specific CNC machining process may vary depending on different parts, equipment, process requirements and other factors. In actual operation, it is necessary to flexibly adjust and optimize the process flow according to the specific situation.
