Machining Equipment Used In Lathe Processing And Its Characteristics

Lathe turning equipment used according to the size of the material, processing method is different, there are various kinds.  The following introduces the types and characteristics of representative Lathe equipment.       


Universal lathe
This is a lathe where the operator moves and changes the tool manually.  It is very useful for making parts with complex shapes that are difficult to program, indi vidual parts, and trial products that require fine tuning.

With CNC lathes, automatic machining can be realized by programming the machining conditions and loading them beforehand.  Because it is programmed, it can be processed with a certain precision even by beginners.  Suitable for volume products that need to repeat the same work.

Face lathe
Face lathes are horizontal lathes used in machining large materials.  Its feature is to prevent precision degradation due to chips, because chips do not accumulate and can be dropped.  Continuous and efficient operation is possible because there is no need to remove chips.

A vertical lathe is a lathe that moves the tool vertically and is used for processing large materials.  It can reduce the deviation caused by center of gravity and centrifugal force, and achieve high machining accuracy.
